    Pol Roger

Established in 1849, over the years Pol Roger champagnes have developed a reputation of noble distinction. They were the label of choice to Sir Winston Churchill and currently enjoy the favour of the British Royal Family. True connoisseurs in Southern Africa can now also celebrate the art of fine-living with masterpieces from their portfolio of vintage and non-vintage champagnes. Their secret, some ask? Generations of inherited knowledge and the spirit of a family combine with the latest in technological advancements to give a taste that is distinctly Pol Roger. Today, the company boasts a proud heritage as one of only a few remaining Grandes Marques Champagne houses still under family ownership. POL ROGER BRUT RÉSERVE Composed of 30 base wines drawn from at least two vintages, with Pinot noir, Pinot meunier and Chardonnay blended in approximately equal proportion, the Brut Reserve is the definitive house-style! It is never sold with less than 3 years maturity. Tasting Notes: ‘A beautiful gold straw yellow hue with a lively, energetic and fine mousse. A bouquet of floral and fruity aromas, ripe and thirst-quenching on the palate with a superb taste of brioche. Full and rich yet incredibly elegant in the mouth, with flavours of buttered toast and ripe apple that are nicely supported by solid, harmonious acidity. Broad through the finish and long, and at the non-vintage level, a vinous treat.’
